Welcome to Water in Mining 2012!

During the final two decades of the last century, water ceased being considered as an unlimited resource and became an issue of high public interest that is notoriously prominent on the international agenda. Water management in the mining industry has also changed in keeping with this global evolution. Currently, environmental sustainability and social equity approaches are added to the traditional quantitative and qualitative challenges in water management.
